In 2004, cancer struck our extended USSSA family. Steve Turley,
son of Tom Turley (USSSA Vice President and Kansas Director)
was diagnosed with cancer. Steve was a loving husband to his wife Suzanne and loving father to his two sons, Jake and Lane. Both Steve and his sons participated in many USSSA sports and activities from Steve's Friday night slow pitch league to Jake's baseball and basketball tournament teams. Steve passed away in 2005, but his memory and legacy are very much alive with all of his family and friends.
This scholarship is a way for us to honor Steve and his family who were very important to the USSSA family. It's also a way to assist a student who will be furthering their education.
